Heather Mills knows that Paul McCartney is an imposter

Heather Mills on GMTVPaul McCartney is dead. He has been since 1966. And Heather Mills knows it.

In my first Paul McCartney article, I looked at some of the audio and visual clues in The Beatles’ songs and album covers that allegedly expose the music industry’s biggest and most audacious secret: Paul McCartney was killed in a car crash in 1966 and subsequently replaced by a lookalike.

Basically, it’s said that Paul’s death was covered up in order to continue the musical reign of The Beatles and spare the fans immense heartache. Clues were inserted into their music to subtly inform the fans that Paul was dead; this was John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr’s only way of coping with the deception.

Heather and PaulBut someone else struggling to cope with the deception decided to be a bit more blatant about it. Heather Mills first came to the public’s attention in 1993, when she was run over by a police motorcyclist and had to have her left leg amputated. She subsequently sold her story about her ordeal and adjustment to life with a prosthetic limb to the newspapers. Then in 2000 it was revealed that she was in a relationship with Paul McCartney. In 2002 they were married, and in 2006 they embarked on a highly publicised separation and divorce.

It was in 2007 that Heather started hinting that her discovery of a terrible secret was the reason behind the divorce…

Heather’s Access Hollywood revelations

On 1st November 2007, Heather said to Billy Bush on US news and entertainment programme Access Hollywood:

“Something so awful happened. Someone I’d loved for a long time I found out had betrayed me immensely. And I don’t mean infidelity or anything like that. Like, beyond belief. People don’t want to know what the truth is because they could never ever handle it. They would be too devastated.”

She then addressed Paul directly:

“You know why I’ve left you. Protect me and I will say nothing.”

What could this awful thing be? A betrayal that isn’t infidelity, something the public just wouldn’t be able to handle if it came out… Could it be that Heather learned that her husband was literally not the man she thought he was? That in fact he was Billy Shears, a Paul McCartney lookalike who’d been hired by the remaining Beatles to become the new Paul – and had been impersonating him for more than 4 decades?

Billy Bush went on to ask:

“Knowing what you now know about Paul, would you have married him in the first place?”

Heather replied firmly and simply:

“Never.”

Heather’s “box of evidence”

Heather Mills’ interview (aka meltdown) with Fiona Phillips on British news and entertainment show GMTV is probably her most infamous. It took place a day prior to the Access Hollywood interview and featured tears, melodrama and a good deal of ranting and raving.

But again Heather stated that she was harbouring a terrible secret for Paul, a secret that had pushed her to the edge, a secret she was legally bound to keep schtum about. She said:

“I have protected my husband. I know everything, and I know the truth.”

Particularly intriguing and sinister is Heather’s suggestion that she had been threatened into silence by the architects of a conspiracy:

“I have a box of evidence that is going to a certain person should anything happen to me. So if you top me off, it’s still gonna go to that certain person, and the truth will come out. There is such a fear from a certain party of the truth coming out.”

Remember “Lovely Rita”?

A documentary appeared in 2010 called Paul McCartney Really Is Dead. According to this documentary, Rita – the girl who was in the car with Paul when it crashed – made contact with False Paul in 1993, threatening to expose the truth. You’ll remember from my last article, Rita’s the girl from the song Lovely Rita, who appears in a blue dress on the Abbey Road album cover.

The documentary suggests that The Beatles were assisted in their cover-up by MI5, who then ordered a hit on Rita to prevent the truth about Paul from coming out.

Except they failed. An assassin on a motorcycle ran her over, but she didn’t die. She just had to have a leg amputated.

See where this is going?

The documentary suggests that “Heather Mills” is the new identity that was given to Rita after the crash, that in actual fact, Heather Mills knew about the cover-up from the start – because she was right there in the car.

The problem with this is that we would have to believe that Heather Mills is at least 15 years older than she actually is, and that her life history is a lie. Her Wiki page, for instance, says she was born in 1968, two years after the car crash. But the documentary, which actually calls itself a ‘mockumentary’ and must therefore be taken as satirical, probably knew this and wanted to throw it in regardless, for entertainment value.

So what is the truth… really?

Heather Mills - a fruitcake?
Heather Mills – a fruitcake?

Heather Mills’ 2007 interviews certainly breathed new life into the ‘Paul is Dead’ conspiracy theory. But while her comments are certainly curious and ominous, the mainstream view is that the ‘truth’ Heather Mills was referring to was that Paul physically abused her during their marriage. A ‘truth’ that most people today have considerable doubts about. A High Court judge at their divorce proceedings accused Heather of having a “warped perception” and of giving evidence that was “inconsistent and inaccurate” and “less than candid”.

So was she flat-out lying about everything in those interviews? Is she nothing more than an attention-seeking fantasist as the High Court judge was suggesting? Or is this judge a player in the conspiracy himself?

And of course, the biggest question of all: will we ever know what’s inside Heather’s “box of evidence”?

Excellent material for a short story, I think…

  1. wow, that is quite a piece of uninformed writing, full of half fact-checks and ifs and maybes……
How can people really lose so much time of their life about this?
    Get a life.

    1. Wow, Eric, I see you’re lacking a sense of humour. In case you haven’t realised, this blog is a lighthearted look at conspiracy theories, including wacky ones like ‘Paul is dead’. I don’t believe a lot of them, but don’t you think they’re fun to talk about???

I do, but perhaps I don’t take life as seriously as you. Take it easy and thanks for stopping by! 👍

  2. I’m sure that the “original paul”, the deceased one, still has living brothers or sisters or related family that a DNA sample could be taken and prove this once and for all. So why hasn’t this been done or been suggested???

    1. Very good point! I suspect it’s because most people consider this conspiracy theory ‘fringe’ and Paul would need to consent to a DNA test – there would be no reason for him to do that.

      1. Not exactly, Pauls brother, could in fact take a DNA test and compare that to his supposed daughter Erika Hubers, and if they match then the Sir Paul is actually Sir Faul

  3. The real James Paul McCartney is still alive and well.. going by the name John Halliday. And for the record.. The real John Lennon is still very much alive and well.. going by the name Colin Unwit. McCartney and Lennon wanted out of the (satanic) music business.. and were replaced. Check them out on YouTube. Have an open mind and see for yourself. Heather Mills thought she was married to Paul McCartney.. only to find out he was not who she thought he was. Linda McCartney knew upfront and went along w it all.

  4. If you watch podcasts, such as Sage of Quay, Mark Devlin, Tina Foster, and other Paul is Dead videos and podcasts, it is obvious that the Paul McCartney of today is not the same person as the Paul before 1967. By studying videos and podcasts, there are physical differences and personality differences. People hear the words, “conspiracy” or “myth” or “rumor,” and they turn off. The truth is obvious. People are just not interested or don’t want to know it.

  5. Sir Paul McCartney is not the same guy who was Paul before 1967. By studying podcasts, photos and videos — I know this is not the same person. Why can’t other people see this? Are they brainwashed or maybe they don’t want to know the truth.

  6. It’s not a hoax. A very famous young musician disappeared and was replaced by an impostor. What happened to the real Paul McCartney? If Sir Paul is the real Paul McCartney, why did he have an autobiography “encoded” by Thomas Uharriet (The Memoirs of Billy Shears), in which he admits that he (William Shepherd) took the place of the real Paul after he was killed in a car accident? Don’t people wonder why Paul’s ears don’t stick out as much as original Paul’s, and why his once beautiful brown eyes are now blue? Because it’s not the same person. Why don’t people care about what happened to the real Paul? This is not a conspiracy theory — it is reality. Why can’t people realize this? If I can see this, why can’t they?

      1. Thanks. I will read it in the near future. I just want to impress on you that I had no clue that he was replaced for many years. It was just when I saw a link on the internet about a year ago and started reading up on this and watching videos, podcasts, etc. that I realized that this was definitely not the same man. I appreciate your personal reply very much.

      2. Hi. I have finished reading it, and it was excellent. You have a great deal of imagination and writing talent. I enjoyed it very much. In the Paul McCartney story, he has a granddaughter who remembers her Grandpa, Paul, used to make her bacon sandwiches. Paul (Faul) is a vegetarian. Anyway, it was great. The truth is that Paul McCartney was replaced, and the public doesn’t know what the true identity of the person currently playing the role was or is. His true identity and prior life, being himself, is a mystery.

  7. The above pro fake Paul comment show why CR Berry should begin by saying it is a work of fiction.

Heather Mills pulled the old con of saying something is a fact without any evidence. Maybe her secret is that she really IS Rita AND 20 YEARS OLDER BUT VERY MUCH ALIVE?
see how cap lock clicked on by itself! Proof of the Rita conspiracy. Obviously she didn’t want to admit to being much older than her fake name.

The book mentioned above is a work of FICTION. It says so in the copyright area. If “Faul’ wanted to tell all why hide it. He would have a #1 smash hit book! Instead, it sells to conspiracy fans.

If you want the facts, they are out there. just look for debunked faul hoax or something like that. There are plenty.

The sites mentioned that promote the hoax are money driven. They have ads, sell books or videos, and some have podcasts to pay to hear and personal appearances they can make… for money, of course.

    Paul was a huge success in 1964, 74, 84, 94, 2004, 2014, and now in 2024 and every year in-between.
His father and brother never said he was a fake, and they stood to inherit his Beatles money.
I’ll take their words and love for the very real Paul over a woman who was making claims in a divorce without telling us what they actually were. SHHH It’s a secret box!
She never even said it was about the hoax!
